| 英文摘要 | ObjectiveThis study aimed to explore the association between disclosure of one's sexual orientation in different social contexts and mental health outcomes among LGB individuals.MethodsThis study used a nationwide sample of 7867 LGB individuals in the mainland of China.ResultsFindings revealed that the disclosure process was associated with positive consequences in several specific contexts such as schools, workplaces, and close friendships, but not in the family context. Bisexual individuals were less likely to be influenced by the disclosure process.ConclusionsProfessionals who work with LGB individuals need to be aware of the context-specific factors when facilitating disclosure decisions. |
