Despite previous research exploring the relationship between mindfulness and anxiety, the constraints of analytical tools have resulted in few studies examining these relationships at a micro level. This study employs network analysis, a visual data mining technique, combined with psychopathological network theory to investigate the connections between specific mindfulness processes and anxiety symptoms. A total of 550 young adults (Mage =19.27, SD=1.60) participated in the study. The results indicate that 'future preoccupation' is the mindfulness process most closely related to anxiety symptoms, particularly 'social anxiety.' Additionally, 'focus on present' emerged as the most susceptible mindfulness process to external influences, likely due to participants' lack of prior mindfulness practice. This study deepens our understanding of the relationships between mindfulness processes and anxiety symptoms and demonstrates the broad potential of visual data mining in psychology.
