Unveiling dynamic change, driving factors and recommended practices in sustainable development of county-scale within Qinghai province, China

英文摘要The pursuit of sustainable development holds paramount significance in achieving harmony between man and nature, which can represent the degree of coordinated development among the economy, society and environment. Qinghai Province, as the main region to realize sustainable development in China, has paid little attention to its sustainable development and problems. To guide sustainable development policies of Qinghai Province, this study established a comprehensive evaluation framework including Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ecosystem services, and evaluated dynamic change, synergies, trade-offs and driving factors of county-level sustainable development in Qinghai Province. The results revealed that from 2010 to 2020, sustainable development levels of 45 counties in Qinghai Province increased, exhibiting a spatial distribution with higher levels in the east and lower levels in the west. Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression indicated that synergy effects among sustainable development indicators outweigh trade-off effects, with the number of indicators with synergy increasing from 117 pairs in 2010 to 119 pairs in 2020. Random forest analysis identified SDG 12.2 (16.4498), SDG 1.2 (11.3412), SDG 8.1 (11.1394), SDG 2.3 (10.6105), SDG 6.6 (9.7720) and SDG 15.1 (9.2565) as the most important indicators influencing sustainable development scores. Further driving factors analysis revealed annual precipitation and total population as the primary positive driving factors, while the interaction between annual precipitation and annual maximum temperature was the most influential combination factor. Based on the above result, we propose recommended practices for sustainable development in different regions combined with strategic positioning and developing direction. Based on the above result, we point out the suggestions for sustainable development measures in different regions combined with Strategic positioning and Developing direction. The research results provide a comprehensive reference for advancing the sustainable development of Qinghai Province.
