英文摘要 | Determining the soil resistance acting on submarine pipelines is fundamental for in-place stability design. The complex topography in a seabed area with sand waves can lead to complex and variable soil resistance models. However, current pipeline soil resistance studies have focused mostly on flat seabeds. To address this issue, a finite element model of semiburied pipelines with berms in front of them on sandy seabeds was established and verified by experimental results. Three breakout modes of laterally moving pipelines in sand wave areas under the influence of berms were summarized, and a formula for distinguishing different breakout modes of laterally moving pipelines in sand wave areas was proposed. Parameter analysis revealed the influence of berm height H, berm length W, and berm-to-pipeline distance S on the breakout mode, lateral extent of the passive failure surface X, and lateral breakout resistance Fbr. A breakout resistance prediction model applicable to sand wave areas was established. Verification shows that this formula can respond to changes in berm parameters and agrees well with experimental results, thus providing a reference for the lateral breakout resistance of submarine pipelines in sand wave areas. |
