Water-diesel ratio dependent deformation behaviour of diesel contaminated clay

| 英文摘要 | PurposeRapid industrial growth and increasing demand for petroleum have led to a substantial accumulation of organic-contaminated soil in coastal and riverside environments. This organic-contaminated soil typically contains two or more immiscible fluids. In this study, the deformation behavior of soil with non-miscible fluids will studied. MethodsA testing platform was established to test the three-dimensional surface deformation and soil weight, and a series of soil specimen with different diesel content, water content and dry density (rho d) were tested using this platform. On this basis, the sensitivity of water content, diesel content, and rho d on the soil deformations and water evolution were analyzed. ResultsThe results show that, the horizontal and vertical deformation of diesel contaminated soil increase first and then tend to stabilize with the increase of time. With the increase of rho d and diesel content, the horizontal deformation will increase and the vertical deformation will decrease along the water evaporation process. ConclusionThe water content, diesel content, and rho d has a dynamic influence on the soil deformation, and soil rho d is more sensitivity than water content and diesel content on the soil deformation. |
