Effect of calcium chloride on the properties of gangue cemented paste backfill: Experimental results of setting time, rheological properties, mechanical strength and microscopic properties

英文摘要In order to solve the problem of pipe blocking caused by the retention of backfill slurry in the pipeline after intermittent backfill during the long distance transportation and intermittent space backfill, the setting time of gangue cemented paste backfill (GCPB) slurry needs to be optimized. Here, the effects of calcium chloride (CaCl2) dosages on the setting time, rheological properties and mechanical properties of GCPB were studied, the corresponding key parameters were analyzed, and the recommended optimal dosage of calcium chloride (CaCl2) was determined. The changes of hydration rate, hydration products and micro-morphology of GCPB under different calcium chloride (CaCl2) dosages were recorded by heat of hydration test, thermogravimetricderivative & thermogravimetry (TGD-TG) test, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) test and Xray diffraction (XRD) test. The reaction mechanism of CaCl2 modified gangue cemented paste backfill was discussed. The results showed that the effect of calcium chloride (CaCl2) on the setting time of GCPB was divided into two categories: the initial setting time of the GCPB slurry can be prolonged by the content of 0.1 %-0.7 %, and be shortened by the content of 0.8 %-5 %. The optimal dosages range of calcium chloride (CaCl2) was determined to be 0.3 %-0.5 % to meet the requirements of long-distance pipeline transportation. Finally, the microstructure reaction mechanism of the GCPB was analyzed. The research results provide reference for the improvement of mine backfill.
