英文摘要 | Hydrogen is the most potential clean energy in the 21st century. Salt cavern hydrogen storage (SCHS) is currently one of the most promising options for large-scale underground hydrogen storage. Studying the mechanical stability of the surrounding rock near SCHS is crucial. From the perspectives of confining pressure, gas pressure and gas type, this study reveals the mechanical response characteristics and damage mechanism of salt rocks under hydrogen permeation. The results show that: (1) Hydrogen penetration decreases the strength of salt rock, while increasing confining pressure has the opposite effect. (2) The degree of influence of different kinds of gas permeation on the strength of salt rock: H-2 > N-2 > CO2. (3) Computed Tomography scanning results indicate the increase of confining pressure and gas pressure exerts a coupling effect on the damage of salt rock. These findings can serve as valuable references for stability analysis and safety evaluations of the SCHS. |
