英文摘要The brittle plate, impacted by an object, may have two types of fracture, conical fracture and radial fracture, which initiate from the impact surface and the back surface, respectively. For the conical fracture of plate, we employed the energy method to obtain the critical contact force for the conical fracture, and generalized the Auerbach's law for fracture of brittle plate. And for the radial fracture of plate, by using the thin plate theory and superposition principle, we provided the critical contact force for the radial fracture. Finally, with the elastic force solution considering flexural wave effect, we provided the critical impact speeds for two types of fractures on brittle plate, and further established partition diagram of fracture types for determining sequence of fractures on the plate under impact. The proposed fracture criterion can predict the occurrence of fracture during impact, which may guide the strength design of brittle plate.
