英文摘要 | Using the rotating vector model (RVM) and aiming to constrain the value of the magnetic inclination angle (alpha), we perform a least-squares fit on the linearly polarized position angles of 125 pulsars from Parkes 64 m archive data at 1400 MHz. Subsequently, a statistical analysis of the normalized Q parameters is carried out. Furthermore, based on the Q-parameter, we provide a further understanding of the geometry of the radio emission region of the pulsar. In this statistical sample, about 1/5 of the sample is clustered at 0, suggesting that this part of the pulsar is viewed from the center of the radiation cone. For the rest of the pulsars, the Q parameters follow a uniform distribution, supporting the conclusion that the interface of the radiation cone is non-elliptical. |
