英文摘要Optical fiber, which is regarded as the core element of fiber-integral field units (IFU), impacts the spectral resolution, the signal-to-noise ratio, and also the field of view. This paper reports the optimal parameter design of the optical fibers for IFU installed in the Fiber Arrayed Solar Optical Telescope (FASOT). During the design, factors including the scientific goals, the fabrication tolerance, the instruments, and the fiber transmission characteristics are considered. According to a comprehensive model, the core/cladding/coating diameters and the numerical aperture are selected to be 35/105/125 mu m and 0.12, respectively. In addition, the cause of the uneven energy distribution phenomenon in the spectral image obtained by the FASOT system is analyzed and simulated. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that such an adverse effect on spectral measurement accuracy is negligible.
