Dynamics of cylindrical bubble driven by two same-sided shock waves

| 英文摘要 | The dynamics of cylindrical bubble driven by two same-sided shock waves is examined through numerical simulations across three characteristic regimes: the second shock strength weaker than, equal to, and stronger than the first shock. Under matched total pressure ratios, comparisons with equivalent single-shock scenarios highlight distinct downstream jet evolution and vorticity generation mechanisms. Key findings reveal that the second shock-induced transmitted waves effectively suppress the first shock-generated diverging waves, inhibiting outward jet formation. Moreover, both positive and negative vorticity emerge at the downstream interface, and their mutual competition further suppresses the jet development. To characterize the vorticity deposition in dual-shock configuration, the classic one-dimensional circulation model is revised by incorporating the shock transit time correction and velocity correction, and the revised model achieves prediction errors <= 5% (single-shock) and <= 6% (dual-shock) across our parameter space. Finally, the mixed mass dynamics under second shock impact is examined. The second shock amplifies mixing efficiency between the test gas and ambient air, and stronger second shock yields proportionally greater increase in mixed mass at fixed total pressure ratios. |
