Effect of axial jet on drag reduction characteristics of underwater axisymmetric vehicle

| 英文摘要 | Jet-assisted drag reduction for underwater vessels involves modifying the physical properties of the hull surface to reduce frictional resistance during operation, thereby achieving drag reduction. This study investigates the axial jet drag reduction performance of underwater vehicles through numerical simulations, focusing on the effects of cruising speed and airflow rate. The results reveal that axial jet drag reduction is primarily achieved by reducing the frictional resistance of the underwater axisymmetric vehicle and suppressing the increase of pressure difference resistance. The gas layer coverage area and cruising speed are key factors influencing drag reduction efficiency. At low speeds (4 m/s < v < 6 m/s), drag reduction of up to 10 % can be achieved with a low-flow ventilation scheme. At higher speeds (8 m/s < v), both large and small ventilation schemes can reduce drag, with the small ventilation scheme achieving over 15 % drag reduction, but it requires obviously less gas. The stability of the gas layer plays a crucial role in minimizing pressure drag, and increasing the ventilation rate can enhance this stability, further reducing drag. These findings provide insights into optimizing axial jet drag reduction for underwater vehicles under varying operational conditions. |
