| 英文摘要 | With the rapid advancement of urbanization in China, pressure on land resources has intensified substantially, giving rise to emerging ecological and environmental challenges. To comprehensively evaluate the land use sustainability of Chinese cities, this study employs an improved three-dimensional ecological footprint model, which integrates the national hectare approach with 30 m resolution land use/land cover data to quantify the productive land footprint of 343 Chinese cities. Furthermore, the Tapio decoupling model is applied to examine the relationship between ecological footprint and economic growth. The results indicate that, overall, Chinese cities experienced relatively low pressure on land resources. From 2000 to 2022, the per capita ecological footprint fluctuated between 0.33 and 0.38 national hectares, with approximately 67 % of cities exhibiting low levels of land resource stock depletion. Among different land types, the ecological footprints of built-up land and grasslands increased significantly. However, the decoupling status between land resource utilization and economic growth still requires further improvement. After 2013, the proportion of cities achieving decoupling between ecological footprint and economic growth declined from approximately 80 % to about 40 %. Looking ahead, priority should be given to mitigating ecological pressure on grasslands, strictly regulating the expansion of built-up land, and promoting the economic transformation of resource-dependent cities to advance sustainable development. |
