英文摘要Urban green spaces (UGSs) are critical socio-ecological infrastructures but often fail to keep pace with rapid city growth. Using a landscape-ecology framework, we analyze UGS dynamics in China from 2000 to 2020 across five dimensions: area, distribution, landmark connectivity, cohesiveness, and shape diversity. While urbanization advanced by 1.42% annually after 2010, UGS coverage increased by only 0.39% per year. We identify three trajectories of UGS-urban growth interactions: destruction, transformation, and optimization. Socio-economic factors-particularly education, GDP per capita, built-up area, and population density-emerged as the dominant drivers over natural conditions. Our findings highlight that future UGS strategies must shift from expanding quantity to improving structural quality and connectivity. By integrating area, structure, and function, the proposed five-dimensional framework offers a transferable approach for guiding UGS planning, supporting sustainable urban development, and achieving global sustainability goals.
