3D physical property inversion for gravity data based onthreshold pruning iterative algorithm

英文摘要The utilization of gravity data inversion to acquire the distribution of underground density non-uniform bodies holds significant importance in the search for target geological bodies. The majority of physical property inversion methods for gravity data are based on the L-2-norm minimization of observed data and model parameter constraints, with the optimal method employed for solving to obtain the physical property distribution results. Owing to the influence of the "skin effect" during the inversion process, the physical property inversion results frequently concentrate near the observation surface, which can give rise to certain troubles in actual geological interpretation. The introduction of the depth-weighted function can partially alleviate the "skin effect", but simultaneously introduces the "trailing effect" and "associated anomalies", resulting in relatively low horizontal and vertical resolutions of the inversion results. Based on the fundamental principle of Tikhonov regularization for three-dimensional physical property inversion of gravity data, a three-dimensional focusing inversion method for gravity data based on threshold pruning iterative algorithm is presented in this paper. By re-utilizing the weak anomalies induced by the L-2-norm constraint inversion to convert and enhance the original physical property distribution around the target geological body, the objective of focusing the physical property inversion results is accomplished. To a certain extent, this method has overcome the influences of the "skin effect" and "trailing effect", and enhanced the resolution of the inversion results. This method is applied in the theoretical model test, and the test results indicate that the inversion results of this method are more in line with the spatial position and physical property values of the theoretical model, thereby verifying the correctness of this method. Finally, the method in this paper is utilized to invert the gravity data of the Olympic Dam multi-metal mining area in Australia, attaining the density distribution results that match the known geological information, thereby embodying the effectiveness of this method.
