Hydrogen permeation in X80 steel during corrosion induced by the synergistic effects of sulfate-reducing bacteria and alternating current

英文摘要The synergistic effects of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and alternating current (AC) interference on X80 steel corrosion and hydrogen permeation in soil solution were investigated. The presence of SRB increased hydrogen permeation rate (JHL) by 1.25 x 10-11 mol/m center dot s, while AC interference alone raised the rate to 2.68 x 10-11 mol/ m center dot s at 50 A/m2. The combined effect of SRB and AC was 3.28 x 10-11 mol/m center dot s. Significant corrosion acceleration was observed with the total synergism factor peaking at 50 A/m2. SRB and AC together enhanced hydrogen production and diffusion, with low AC density promoted SRB growth and enhancing hydrogen permeation.
