[Mn(phen)(pdc)](infinity) is characteristic of an edge-sharing dinuclear Mn-II structure unit bridged by pdc, leading to a 2-D framework whose stacking is based on weak H-bond interaction. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility for [Mn(phen)( pdc)](infinity) indicates antiferromagnetic coupling [J= -2.76(4)cm(-1)] between the adjacent paramagnetic Mn-II ions. |
