ab-plane optical properties of Fe-substituted Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+delta

中文摘要The ab-plane reflectance of Bi2Sr2Ca(Cu1-xFex)(2)O8+delta single crystals grown by a floating zone method was measured above and below T-c, and the optical conductivity was calculated from a Kramers-Kronig analysis. The study revealed two main effects by Fe substitution: a reduction of low frequency spectral weight in the normal state, and a suppression of the strength of superconducting condensate. However, compared with Zn-substitution in YBa2Cu3O7-delta, the suppression of the condensate density, i.e. the pair-breaking effect, is much weaker.
