中文摘要The structural and dynamical properties of the aggregates formed by cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) at the mica/solution interface are investigated using atomic force microscopy (AFM) at both in situ force curve mode and morphology imaging mode. The force curve results give a layer thickness of about 3.0 nm, indicating the bilayer formation at the interface. From the morphology images, the inner layer and the outer layer can be directly distinguished and the obtained bilayer thickness is around 0.6 nm. Under tip scanning, the bilayer shows compression, rupture, and/or diffusion due to the softness and fluid nature of the adsorbed film. And the compression of the bilayer under forces should be the reason for the smaller thickness value given by the morphology results.
