中文摘要 | The samples of YBa2-xNdxCuxOy (x = 0.0-0.5 with a step of 0.05) were prepared by solid state reactions, The solubility of Nd at the Ba-sites was determined by X-ray powder diffraction being x = 0.3 in YBa2-xNdxCu3Oy, smaller than that in Nd1+xBa2-xCu3Oy. No structural transition from orthorhombic to tetragonal was observed. The variation of the zero resistance transition temperatures T-c(zero) vs. the Nd content x exhibits two steps, For x less than or equal to 0.25 T-c(zero) are all above 92 K, and T-c(zero) = 94 K for x = 0.25. For x greater than or equal to 0.3 T-c(zero) drops sharply to about 84 K, and finally for x=0.5 T-c(on) falls to 30 K and T-c(zero) is below 10 K. The two-step variation of T-c might be an indication of the existence of two trap levels for holes. The oxygen content and charge transfer due to the unbalance between Nd3+ and Ba2+ may be key factors to the superconductivity of YBa2-xNdxCu3Oy. The magnetic pair breaking of magnetic rare earth ions at the Ba-sites seems not a major factor to the T-c-depression of ReBa2Cu3Oy superconductors. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. |
