中文摘要Superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) using YBa2Cu3O7 step-edge grain boundary junctions on LaAlO3 substrates were fabricated. The I-V and V-Phi characteristics of these step-junction dc-SQUIDs were studied. A modulation voltage exceeding 16 mu V was attained with L-s = 60 pH at 77 K. At 77 K, a square washer configuration with inductance L-s = 150 pH yields flux noise of abo ut 5.08 x 10(-5) phi(0)/root Hz frequencies above 100 Hz, increasing to 1.1 x 10(-4) phi(0)/root Hz below 1 Hz. The corresponding magnetic field and energy resolution were 270 fT/root Hz and 3.68 x 10(-29) J/Hz respectively, above 100 Hz, and increasing to 710 fT/root Hz and 1.8 x 10(-28) J/Hz over a signal frequency range to below 1 Hz.
