中文摘要The phase-retardations in type-II phase-matched frequency doubling crystals we're analyzed and a convenient scheme to control the polarization to realize walk-off compensation was proposed. In experiment, we demonstrated the improvement of second harmonic generation (SHG) conversion efficiency by frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser through KTP crystals. With compensating the waveplate effect and walk-off, SHG average power of 30.1 W at 25 kHz and 40% external doubling efficiency were obtained with high beam quality (M(2)similar to3.9) under a low input fundamental laser intensity of L 14 MW/cm(2). This scheme provides a simple method to maintain the SHG linear polarization and compensate the walk-off effect in type-II phase matching for improving the conversion efficiency.
