No ending point on the Bragg glass phase transition line at low temperatures

中文摘要By measuring the magnetic hysteresis loops and the magnetic relaxation for Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+delta (Bi-2212) single crystals, it is found that the second magnetization peak effect appears only above 20 K in the measurement with fast field sweeping rate, but it appears again below 20 K (16 K measured here) after long-time relaxation or in a measurement with a very slow field sweeping rate. This is attributed to the metastable profile of the interior magnetic field which is far from the equilibrium state. To check this hypothesis, an metastable vortex state which is very close to the equilibrium one was well prepared by using the so-called field-cooling mode. The magnetization measured in a long-time scale (86 400 s) of this vortex state shows that the second peak can even appear at 5 K with the peak position unchanged. It is thus tempting to conclude that the phase transition line of Bragg glass to vortex glass has no ending point at low temperatures.
