Optic and magneto-optic properties of Pt/Co/Pt/Ni multilayers

中文摘要 | A series of sputtered Pt/Co/Pt/Ni multilayers with Ni layer thickness t(Ni) ranging from 0 to 2.4 nm were prepared. An increase of Kerr rotation and reflectivity was obtained in the wavelength range of 360 to 800 nm. The remanence ratio M-r/M-s is kept as unity until a Ni thickness of up to 1.8 nm. The relationship between conductivity tensors sigma(1xx), sigma(2xx), sigma(1xy), sigma(2xy) and t(Ni) were calculated with measured values of Kerr rotation, ellipticity and complex optic constants. Furthermore, theta(K) = theta(K)[sigma(1xx)(t(Ni)), sigma(2xx)(t(Ni)), sigma(1xy)(t(Ni)), sigma(2xy)(t(Ni))] as a compound function of t(Ni) was calculated. It exhibits that. with changing of t(Ni), sigma(2xy) is the major factor to influence theta(K) at short wavelengths and all of four conductivity tensors are important at long wavelengths, no one is negligible. In general, there is no simple relationship between Delta sigma(ij) and delta theta(K). |
