| 中文摘要 | We have experimentally demonstrated a photorefractive phase conjugator, which works with an incident light beam predominantly polarized in its ordinary state. The conjugate waves are, however, extraordinarily polarized. Good quality extraordinarily polarized conjugate waves are still observed even as the power ratio of the ordinary waves to the extraordinary waves in the incident beam reaches 1300, with the incident power of the extraordinary waves at about 1 muW. The conjugator, in fact, requires two incident beams for its operation. In addition to the above mentioned incident light beam, another extraordinarily polarized light beam is needed. Since the conjugator screens out the ordinary waves in an incident beam of light, which has both extraordinarily and ordinarily polarized components, it can be used as a reflective polarizer. |
