中文摘要Carbon nanotube reinforced Zr-based bulk metallic glass composites are prepared by the conventional die cast method. Even though some carbon nanotubes react with Zr, resulting in the formation of crystalline ZrC particles, a large amount of carbon nanotubes still keep their cylindrical morphology in the glassy matrix., Typical multi-walled structure of,carbon nanotubes dispersing in the glass matrix was still observed. Ultrasonic investigation shows that the elastic module and acoustic velocity of the composite are markedly changed by adding carbon nanotubes into the glass matrix, and increase with more carbon nanotube addition. Our results suggest that carbon nanotubes are promising materials for preparing reinforced bulk metallic glass composites with lightweight and improved mechanical and physical properties relative to the undoped glass.
