中文摘要A simulation study of the conversion process of laser energy into x rays from a gold foil target irradiated by a 1 ns laser pulse with 10(14) W/cm(2) intensity at 0.35 mum wavelength is presented. The thickness of the foil is optimized to achieve high conversion efficiency on its rear side. The optimized foil can provide unique plasmas with a low spatial gradient of temperature and density.
