中文摘要Depending on the special properties, rare-earth element and its compounds have been widely used in the fields of polymeric materials, inorganic non-metal materials,agriculture and chemical industry. During the past years, considerable efforts have been put on the study of its tribological application. The initial study shows that organ ophosphorid salt which contains rare earth can improve the anti-oxidation ability of grease; addition of some CeS2 to lithium-based grease can put down the coefficient of friction; some rare earth oxides show synergistic effects with graphite under metal extruding lubrication at high temperature; addition of some rare-earth elements to metal-based composite materials can greatky improve the anti-wear ability; organic complex used as additives of lubricant or grease has effects of anti-oxidation, anti-scratch, anti-wear and decreasing friction. Because the initial study about the effects of earth on lubrication materials just stays at the application stage, we have studied the reactional mechanisms of rare earth in lubricating materials, and made a preliminary progress in explanation of phenomena.
