英文摘要The design, fabrication, and measurement of a dual-band terahertz (THz) metamaterial based on gallium arsenide substrate are presented. The proposed subwavelength structure provides two distinct electrical resonances near 0.39 and 0.59 THz. Measured results obtained from the THz time-domain spectroscopy show good agreement with the simulation results. Effective medium parameters show negative values of permittivity during two frequency bands of 0.38-0.44 THz and 0.59-0.64 THz. This metamaterial is expected to enhance the realization of broadband and multiband functional devices in THz regime. (c) 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 55:2095-2099, 2013
