Two species are reported infesting penaeid shrimps; one is new to science, and another is a new record from China. The new species differs from Parapenaeonella distincta Shiino, 1949 in its widely open brood pouch, small biramous pleopods, simple barbula, and its male with midventral tubercle on the first pleomere.
