中文摘要 | <正> ACADEMIA SINICAEx—1 Chemical engineering came into being as a deductive techno-logy,first by categorizing physical processes into the essentiallyequipment-based unit operations.For chemical processes,parallelefforts resulted in the essentially reaction-species-based unitprocesses.To account for the significant factor of rate in che-mical reactions,the classical study of chemical kinetics was ex-tended to accommodate the features of chemical production,toform the branch of applied chemical kinetics.Need for more basic understanding of the underlying princi-ples of the unit operations led to re-orienting technology towa-rds science,e.g.,in the study of transport phenomena which ina way generalizes most of the unit operations.The direct infl- |
