英文摘要Many large scale landslides induced by 1920 Haiyuan earthquake distribute in Xiji County and Yuanzhou District of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China. Especially, Xiji County is under an active period of seismic activity now, so old landslides can easily revive under continuous rain, transient strong rain and earthquake. The local people's lives, property and even the local economic development are under a serious threat of earthquake potentially. In this paper, the spatial distribution characteristics of seismic loess landslides was analyzed based on detailed field data sets from geological disasters surveys in the two districts. Seismic landslides were classified into three categories: earthquake force caused loess landslides, seismic liquefaction caused loess landslides and seismic subsidence - liquefaction caused loess landslides. Based on Xijiawan landslide, Hechuan landslide and Shibeyuan landslide, the characteristics and causes of different types of seismic loess landslides are: seismic subsidence - liquefaction caused loess landslides are characterized by large scale, high speed and long sliding distance and mainly caused by the seismic subsidence of loess in the upper part and liquefaction of the water-saturated loess in the lower part of the slope
