中文摘要

云南东北部的小江流域,是我国暴雨泥石流的典型发育区。这里的泥石流,就其分布之广泛、类型之齐全、活动之频繁、规模之巨大,以及危害之严重而论,都是国内外其它山区所罕见。“座座山头走蛟龙,条条沟口次喇叭”,就是当地群众形容泥石流活动性的生动写照。
本图片集是小江流域泥石流综合考察队根据多年实地考察所得编辑而成。

英文摘要

The Xiaojiang Basin located in the northeast part of Yunnan Province is a typical example of an area where a rainstorm-debris flow has developed. As far as wide distribution, varity, frequency, scale, and disastous effects are  concerned, the debirs flow of this area are rarely matched either at home or abroad. Local residents say "The flood dragon travels every hill, and plays his `laba` (a traditional Chinese wind instrument in the shape of a deposition fan) in every valley."
Based on the results obtaned over many years by the Xiaojiang debris flow rearch team, the editors have put together this pictoial collection. This book is devted to our readers, and we hope that its visually moving pictures will raise their understanding and concern in regards to debris flow disater in the Xiaojiang basin, and will promte greater development of debris flow contral.
