MULTI-NUCLEAR NMR STUDIES OF HYDROGEN BONDING BETWEEN ALCOHOLS AND APROTIC SOLVENTS

英文摘要Binary systems of alcohols and aprotic solvents have been studied systematically by NMR measurements. H-1, C-13, N-tau d and O-17 chemical shifts and proton T-1 have been measured. The effects of solvents on H-1 and C-13 chemical shifts of alcohols were discussed. C-13 chemical shifts of a-carbon atom of alcohol were used to determine the ability of solvents to distort or disrupt the structure of alcohol, while their H-1 chemical shifts were used to measure the strength of hydrogen bond between solvents and alcohols. The result was obtained showing that the stronger the solvent as a donor, the stronger its ability to disrupt the structure of alcohols.
