ATM网络的性能评估与优化控制问题的研究

中文摘要本论文是在国家自然科学基金重点项目“复杂系统的建模理论与方法学”, 以及中、法联合实验室项目“并行系统与多媒体网络的性能评估”资助下,按 照“性能评估一设计管理、控制策略一与现有网络的互连”这一主线完成的。 本论文的主要贡献如下: l、综述了对ATM交换结构,特别是其中重要的非阻塞空分分组交换结 构,进行性能评估的研究历史和现状,然后对Cao中提出的闭排队网络模型 进行了改进,并用来分析相关性业务在不同内部加速因子下,对于负载平衡与 负载不平衡情形的性能。从而得出:当负载平衡时,各输出端的最大通过率相 同,且内部加速因子增大到4时,最大通过率可达到至少99%;当负载不平 衡时,各输出端的最大通过率不同,但内部加速因子增大到4时,各端口的最 大通过率为满加速因子时各端口最大通过率的99%。 2、由通讯网络在空间、功能上具有的内在的分布性,提出了_二种适合于 通讯网络优化与控制的统一框架一多Agent系统结构。 3、在利用多Agent系统结构对通讯网络进行设计与优化的过程中,进一 步提出多个Agent之间的协作可以利用多人决策和博弈论的优秀成果。最后, 以网络交换节点的流量控制为例,对非合作多人决策和组队决策情形分别给出 最优控制策略,并用仿真结果进一步验证。说明了多Agent决策系统结构适用 于通讯网络设计与优化。 4、综述了当前基于ATM,特别是ABR业务的流量控制、拥塞控制策略。 但在ABR业务的流量控制中,如果存在一些不合作的用户,仍会造成网络拥 塞。因此提出一种将基于明晰速率的反馈控制与IFPD丢弃策略相结合的新型 ABR业务的拥塞控制策略,它既充分利用了网络中的带宽,又在公平性准则下,抑制了非合作用户的行为,而且具有丁程可实现性。 5、分析了Intemet的成功与存在的问题,指出删络要走向宽带化,只有 ATM与IP的结合才是最终解决方案。然后分别对在ATM上支持II)协议的各 种技术及特点进行了分析,重点分析了目前认为最有发展的MPLS技术。最 后,针对我国网络的发展情况,提出一些建设性建议。
英文摘要The dissertation is supported in part by the chief project of National Nature Science Foundation: Complex Systems Modelling, Theory & Methodology, and by the Sino-France joint project: Performance Evaluation of Communication Networks & Multimedia Networks. According to the thread, "performance evaluation--policy of control & management--interconnection with existing networks", we have achieved the following progress: 1. A survey of performance evaluation about ATM switches, especially the non-blocking space-division packet switches, is given. And the closed queueing network model by Cao is improved, and used to analysis the performance of non- blocking space-division ATM switches with different internal speedup factor, under balance and imbalance traffic. The results demonstrate that: under balance traffic, the maximum throughput in each output is same, and can achieve at least 99% with a speedup factor of 4; under imbalance traffic, the maximum throughput in each output is different, and with a speedup factor of 4, it can achieve at least 99% maximum throughput with full speedup factor. 2. According to the distribution property of telecommunication system in space and function, Multi-agent System (MAS) --a unified framework suitable for the optimization and control &telecommunication system is introduced. 3. The game-theoretical techniques are used in the cooperation of agents, while using the MAS to optimize and control the telecommunication systems. Making an example of the flow control in switching node, we have given the optimal policy under the situation of non-cooperation and team respectively, further demonstrated by simulation. 4. A survey of the flow control and congestion control in ATM, especially for ABR services, is given. However, even a limited number of uncooperative users will cause congestion collapse[81]. So, we propose a new mechanism, which combines IFPD and ER feedback Control. It can prevent the users from misbehaving under the condition of fairness, and can further utilize the bandwidth more efficiently and realize easily. 5. After analysing the success and existed problem of Internet, we have get the result that the combination of ATM and IP is the ultimate solution for the future broadband networks. And then we have introduced and compared the techniques of IPOA (IP over ATM), especially MPLS, which is esteemed the most promising IPOA. Finally, we have proposed some opinions about the development of networks in our country.
