Theory of oscillator strength of the lithium isoelectronic sequence

英文摘要Using the energies and the multiconfiguration interaction wavefunctions obtained from a full core plus correlation method, the nonrelativistic dipole-length, -velocity and -acceleration absorption oscillator strengths for the 1s(2)2p-1s(2)nd (3 less than or equal to n less than or equal to 9) transitions are calculated. In most cases, the agreement between the f-values from the length and velocity formulae is up to the fourth or fifth digit. Our acceleration f-values also agree closely with the length and velocity f-values. Combining these discrete oscillator strengths with the single-channel quantum defect theory, the discrete oscillator strengths for the transitions from the 1s(2)2p state to highly excited levels (n greater than or equal to 10) and the oscillator strength densities corresponding to the hound-free transitions are obtained.
