A professional DVI-Video optical fiber transceiver was designed based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) in order to meet the need of real-time LED display. The system could be used to transmit a non-loss
real-time video source whose resolution was 1024 768 and refresh rate was 60Hz in a single mode optical fiber. The top-down design method was used while programming FPGA. Some module design ideas were discussed including video data acquisition
caching
framing
frame detecting and video reproducing. The required bandwidth of each module was analyzed and calculated in details. Some relevant simulation results were also given. In practical test
real-time video display was achieved. And the transmission rate of coded data was up to 2Gbps
and the transmission distance could reach 10km. 2011 IEEE.

Based on requirement of all fiber structure
all fiber Yb-doped fiber grating laser uses double cladding fiber with Yb-doped as gain medium
uses fiber grating as resonance cavity and employs semiconductor laser as pumping source to realize the lasing based on the reverse of Yb ion. We use Bragg fiber grating as the resonance cavity of fiber laser and 970nm LD as pumping source
pump the Yb-doped double cladding fiber with circular inner-cladding. We realized 7.5 W single-mode laser output
central wavelength of 1080nm
FWHM of 0.11 nm under the pump power of 11.8W. Maxim conversion efficiency is 63.5 % and slope efficiency of 46.4%.

In this paper
numerical analysis was investigated for the double-clad fiber lasers and experimental study on the Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber lasers was performed. The results shown that the output power increased monotonically with absorbed power
and in lossy cavity the output power is less than in the lossless cavity. The output power decreases for the lossy fiber with the reflectivity of output coupler. There was an optimum fiber length to reach a maximum output and the optimum length was mainly dependent on the loss coefficient. In experiment we obtained a output power of 21.6W
slope efficiency of 54% by using Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber and 40W LD pump source.
2W Yb-doped double-clad fiber superfluorescent source with 42 nm 3 dB bandwidth
