The correction methods of LED displays are aiming to address the uniform issues which includes brightness aspect and color aspect. The correction method use a 33 correction coefficients matrix to reshape the pulse width of each LED. To calculate the correction coefficients  a linear system is established  which includes a color CCD and a LED display. And a correction algorithm is introduced based on the color CCD. This algorithm describes the relationships of the main color components of a LED  when the gray level of a LED is increasing or decreasing  the three main color components would change according to the correction coefficients. The results shows that the correction based on this algorithm improved the performance of LED displays. (2012) Trans Tech Publications  Switzerland.

With applications in digital display  consumer electronics  medicine  automotive lighting  traffic signals  and general illumination  the light-emitting diode (LED) is the world's most efficient light source being mass produced today[1]. However  high cost is the main factor restricting widespread application of LED lighting  and the packaging is the most expensive aspect of LED products. Light emitting diodes (LED) are regarded as the most important light sources in solid-state lighting for their advantages in energy efficiency  long life  vivid colors  high reliability  environmental protection  safety and multiple applications. However  application of LEDs in projection display exist many questions such as low illuminance uniformity and low energy efficiency by reason of luminescence distribution and constructure specificity for LED  the study on application of LED in the micro-projection display and projection display is reported[2-8]. Considering the question mensioned above the rectangular CPC(Compound Parabolic Concentrator) system with three-color LED is applied in the projection display. 2009 SPIE.

A new particle filter-the Local Optimum Particle Filter (LOPF) algorithm is presented for tracking object accurately and steadily in visual sequences in real time which is a challenge task in computer vision field. In order to using the particles efficiently  we first use Sobel algorithm to extract the profile of the object. Then  we employ a new Local Optimum algorithm to auto-initialize some certain number of particles from these edge points as centre of the particles. The main advantage we do this in stead of selecting particles randomly in conventional particle filter is that we can pay more attentions on these more important optimum candidates and reduce the unnecessary calculation on those negligible ones  in addition we can overcome the conventional degeneracy phenomenon in a way and decrease the computational costs. Otherwise  the threshold is a key factor that affecting the results very much. So here we adapt an adaptive threshold choosing method to get the optimal Sobel result. The dissimilarities between the target model and the target candidates are expressed by a metric derived from the Bhattacharyya coefficient. Here  we use both the counter cue to select the particles and the color cur to describe the targets as the mixture target model. The effectiveness of our scheme is demonstrated by real visual tracking experiments. Results from simulations and experiments with real video data show the improved performance of the proposed algorithm when compared with that of the standard particle filter. The superior performance is evident when the target encountering the occlusion in real video where the standard particle filter usually fails.
