The Timing Generator's functions of Scientific Grade CCD Camera is briefly presented: it generates various kinds of impulse sequence for the TDI-CCD  video processor and imaging data output  acting as the synchronous coordinator for time in the CCD imaging unit. The IL-E2TDI-CCD sensor produced by DALSA Co.Ltd. use in the Scientific Grade CCD Camera. Driving schedules of IL-E2 TDI-CCD sensor has been examined in detail  the timing generator has been designed for Scientific Grade CCD Camera. FPGA is chosen as the hardware design platform  schedule generator is described with VHDL. The designed generator has been successfully fulfilled function simulation with EDA software and fitted into XC2VP20-FF1152 (a kind of FPGA products made by XILINX). The experiments indicate that the new method improves the integrated level of the system. The Scientific Grade CCD camera system's high reliability  stability and low power supply are achieved. At the same time  the period of design and experiment is sharply shorted. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Multilinear CCD Sensor was often used on space cameras to obtain multispectral images with each line representing different band channels. However images of different band channels obtained at the same time didn't coincide as there were spaces between lines. Pixel numbers to be adjusted between images of different channels varied when the space camera worked by swaying forward and backward or adjusted row transfer period to compensate image movement. An automatic multispectral images synthesis algorithm of space camera was put forward on the basis of analysis of such phenomenon. In this algorithm a new evaluation function was used to determine pixel numbers to be adjusted and the image regions of each band channel to be clipped. In this way images of different band channels could be synthesized automatically to obtain an accurate colorful image. This algorithm can be used to dispose a large mount of images from space camera directly without any manual disposal so that efficiency could be improved remarkably. In validation experiments the automatic multispectral images synthesis algorithm was applied in synthesis of images obtained from outside scene experiment of a multispectral space camera. Result of validation experiments proved that the automatic multispectral images synthesis algorithm can realize accurate multispectral images synthesis of space camera and the efficiency can be improved markedly. 2010 SPIE.

To obtain a number of advantages in fabrication  testing and alignment  many designs in which spherical mirrors replace classical Cassegrain-form aspheric mirrors are present in the literature. However  spherical mirrors suffer from substantial spherical aberration and thereby require some form of corrector group. But in this case  the question encountered is that of making the basic optical configuration more complex. In this paper  a new design based on Cooke corrector group is presented for eliminating spherical aberration  which is believed to provide higher performance with less complexity than previous approaches. Besides  the cost and fabrication period will be extremely decreased. The telescope system using corrector group here can achieve good optical performance with f# of 10  full field of 0.5  obscuration of 1/3 and MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) of 0.48 corresponding to 50@lp/mm. 2009 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Star sensor is a special high accuracy photoelectric sensor. Attitude acquisition time is an important function index of star sensor. In this paper  the design target is to acquire 10 samples per second dynamic performance. On the basis of analyzing CCD signals timing and star image processing  a new design and a special parallel architecture for improving star image processing are presented in this paper. In the design  the operation moving the data in expanded windows including the star to the on-chip memory of DSP is arranged in the invalid period of CCD frame signal. During the CCD saving the star image to memory  DSP processes the data in the on-chip memory. This parallelism greatly improves the efficiency of processing. The scheme proposed here results in enormous savings of memory normally required. In the scheme  DSP HOLD mode and CPLD technology are used to make a shared memory between CCD and DSP. The efficiency of processing is discussed in numerical tests. Only in 3.5ms is acquired the five lightest stars in the star acquisition stage. In 43us  the data in five expanded windows including stars are moved into the internal memory of DSP  and in 1.6ms  five star coordinates are achieved in the star tracking stage.

A new technique of reducing surface roughness of photoresist grating is presented. In this paper  photoresist melting method  which is low-cost  short-period and easy realization  is presented. In addition  the influence of photoresist melting on the groove profile of the photoresist grating is investigated. Experimental results show that the surface roughness reduces due to surface tension  when developed photoresist is heated to be melting state by this method. In experiment  when the melted photoresist grating is etched by ion beam  the surface relief grating possessing preferable groove profile is obtained on K9 glass substrate  then the surface is evaporated by aluminum using vacuum evaporation  holographic grating with preferable groove profile is successively fabricated.
