This paper represents a technique to produce the large size optical aspherical mirror by using reaction-bonded silicon carbide to meet the material requirements of the space used mirrors
based on the characters comparison of all types mirror material. Techniques are described in this paper
including the bonding procedure of silicon carbide to form a mirror shape
the CCOM technology for aspheric grinding
polishing on a home-developed tool -FSGJ-2
and the aspheric profilometry. A specialized Offner Null lens is also developed to measure the aspherical mirror with laser interferometer. With the technology depicted in the paper
a 502mm 298 mm off-axis SiC aspherical mirror is successfully made with a surface accuracy better than 1/50rms
the final result meets the design requirement. (2011) Trans Tech Publications.

Computer-generated hologram (CGH) is an effective way to compensate wavefront in null test of aspheric surfaces and freeform surfaces. Our strategies of CGH design and fabrication for optical testing are presented
and an experiment demonstrating the compensation results of CGH and null lens is also reported. In order to design complex CGH
software was developed
with which we can design a CGH including three sections: main section for compensating wavefront in null test
alignment section for adjusting the relative position between CGH and interferometer
and fiducial section for projecting fiducial marks around the optics under test. The design result is represented in GDS II format file which could drive a laser-direct-writer- machine to fabricate a photomask. Then
a 1:1 replication process is applied to duplicate the patterns from photomask to a parallel optical substrate whose surface is error better than /60 rms. Finally
an off-axis aspheric surface was tested with CGH and null lens respectively. The test result with CGH (0.019rms) is almost the same as the result with null lens (0.020 rms). This experiment also demonstrated that fiducial marks projected by CGH can be used to guide the alignment of the optics and measurement of its off-axis distance. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

In Computer Controlled Optical Surfacing (CCOS)
polishing tool-path is the base of solving other control parameters such as dwell time. In order to improve the fabrication results of polishing off-axis aspheric
a novel method to optimize the tool-path is discussed in this paper. The optimizing method named weighted-iterative algorithm is according to the balance principle of the particle system. The power factor of each dwell point represents the requirement of dwell density. Considering the factors which influence the polishing result
the power factors cosist of three elements include constant
error distribution and dwell distance of workpiece edge. The tool-path is solved by numerical iterative method. In the end
an error data is simulated with actual parameters using the matrix-based algorithm with two different tool-paths. The one is X-Y uniform spacing model and the other one is to optimize it based on the first. The comparison shows that the results of the optimized one are much better than traditional one
especially the rms convergence rate. Theory of the algorithm is simple and exercisable
and it satisfies practical requirement as well. 2009 SPIE.

A new method combined subaperture stitching with interferometry(SSI) is introduced. It can test large and off-axis aspheric surfaces without the aid of other null optics. In this paper the basic principle and theory of the technique are analyzed. The synthetical optimization stitching model and effective stitching algorithm are established based on homogeneous coordinates transformation and simultaneous least-squares method. The software of SSI is devised and the prototype for testing of large aspheres by SSI is designed and developed. An off-axis asphere with the aperture of 376mm188mm is tested by this method. For comparison and validation
and the difference of PV and RMS error between them is 0.047 e and 0.006 e
the asphere is also tested by null compensation. The synthesized surface profile is consistent to that ofthe entire surface from null test
respectively. So it provides another quantitative measurement for testing large aspheric surfaces and off-axis aspheres besides null-compensation. 2009 SPIE.
