This paper presents the design and analysis of an axial flux permanent-magnet (AFPM) machine for nanosatellites application. It is a miniature axial flux surface mounted permanent magnet flywheel motor  using a printed circuit board (PCB) stator winding. The PCB stator has simplified the design and construction and avoids unnecessary space  since size reduction has become one of the most important aspects of flywheel motor design for nanosatellites. The performances of the machine are estimated by combination method of three-dimensional (3D) electromagnetic finite element analysis (FEA) and approximate theoretical analysis. The back EMF and electromagnetic torque are derived. A comparison between the analysis and experimental measurement results of the prototype machine is also presented. Both simulated and experimental results show that the proposed motor would be an acceptable solution for the nanosatellite applications with advantages such as simple structure and low-cost  as multi-layer circuit board production techniques have made the production of printed circuit coils cheaper and easier. 2012 IEEE.

Formation pressure and the underground stress field will be disturbed by high pressure injection and production activities during oilfield development. Such disturbance will induce the deformation of formation rock  sometimes causing formation to slip. As a result  production wells and/or injection wells will encounter sanding  casing deformation  or even casing shear problems. This article introduced a simulation study on formation pressure and the underground stress field variation during injection and production activities in the Xingshugang area of the Daqing Anticline  Songliao Basin  China. The relationships of injection pressure to formation pressure  underground stress field variation  and strain variation were investigated in this paper. 2010 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Micro-crack is one of the most effective factor to the intensity and service life of optical components. Owing to the micro-crack on surface  actual strength of optical components is reduced severely  even less than ten-percent of its theoretical strength. According to fracture mechanics  the mechanisms of the formation and propagation of micro-crack and the growth theory of sub-critical micro-crack are discussed in the paper firstly. Based on practice  an on-line test method disposing etching holes-the molecule-infiltrating method and the principles of acid-etching method disposing micro-crack are described. Followed by the demolishing mechanism of abrasives and a more reasonable removal redundancy of fine-grinding and polishing during  optical production is given by using abrasives in different-size orderly. 2009 SPIE.
