Freeform surfaces provide more degrees of freedom for design of optical systems
and enhance the ability of compensation and correction aberrations. Freeform surfaces are of advantage to balance the unsymmetrical aberrations
especially for the wide-field off-axis optical systems. This paper focus on an off-axis reflective optical system
which focal length is 550mm
F# is 6.5 and field of view (FOV) is 76. The system adopts some freeform surfaces. We discuss the problems we noticed in processes of design
manufacture
measurement and alignment
and the solutions. At last
the periodical research result and the expected performance are given. 2012 SPIE.

Based on reflective liquid crystal spatial light modulator (SLM)
a new foveated optical imaging system is proposed. High quality imaging can be realized at any region of interest (ROI) within the field-of-view (FOV) by utilizing the SLM to correct the aberration of different regions dynamically. A reflective cassegrain optical structure is proposed
which is designed
optimized and matched with the reflective SLM to construct a more practical foveated imaging system. This reflective imaging system has a large aperture so that enough light can reach the image plane. It also makes the total length of the system shorter and therefore more practical. We also simulate and analyze the system. This kind of foveated optical imaging system can be applied in wide FOV imaging aspects to reduce bandwidth and optics complexity
and to achieve weight reduction and miniaturization. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

We have designed and fabricated a non-coaxial grazing reflective x-ray microscope that is composed of four spherical mirrors for the diagnosis of intertial confinement fusion. The aberrations and imaging quality of the system are analysis and calculated.

The results of design effort for infrared zoom systems using all reflective aspheric surfaces are described. Issues such as the paraxial design theory and aberration balancing are discussed in detail. Two all reflective zoom optical systems are disclosed clearly. Both of them are to be used with uncooled infrared detectors. The first design is an unobscured three mirror zoom system without any intermediate image
and the second is a three mirror system with central obscuration which forms an intermediate image. With the design theory further developed
this kind of systems can be designed for cooled infrared detectors
for which cold stop matching is an important issue. 2006 SPIE-OSA.

x-ray imaging technology has developed fast in order to meet the need of x-ray photo-etching
spatial exploration technology
high-energy physics
procedure diagnosis of inertial confinement fusion (ICF) et al. Since refractive index of materials in the x-ray region is lower than 1
and x-ray is strongly absorbed by materials
it is very difficult to image objects in the x-ray region. Conventional imaging methods are hardly suitable to x-ray range. In general
grazing reflective imaging and coding aperture imaging methods have been adopted more and more. In this paper
according to user's requirement
we have designed a non-coaxial grazing KBA microscope. The microscope consists of two sets of perpendicular spherical mirrors
each set includes two parallel mirrors. Taking it as an example
we have compiled an optical computing program for the non-coaxial grazing imaging systems so as to analyze and evaluate aberrations of KBA microscope. Thus it can help us to get an optimal comprehension of KBA x-ray imaging system. In the same time
the analytical results provide reliable foundation for evaluating imaging quality of KBA microscope.
