The process of wear design on chisel-edge ruling tool of diffraction gratings is very complex because of following two reasons that one is the load distribution on minute edge area when grating ruling  and the other is the anisotropic character of natural diamond. The former is the first step when wear design on chisel-edge ruling tool of diffraction grating  In order to predicate the load distribution on minute edge area of tool  this paper simulated the load distribution on minute edge area of tool by software when ruling on Aluminum-1100 with tabular data format flow stress and Aluminum-1100 with Power law flow stress respectively  and through comparative analysis determined the approximate load distribution on minute edge area of chisel-edge ruling tool that the high load mainly focused on the edge area close to the tip of ruling tool and amount to 200MPa while about to 100MPa on the face of tool. A reimaging F/1.0 long-wavelength infrared optical system is proposed. The design has a flexible opto-mechanical layout. The design process is as follows. Firstly  the catadioptric reimaging system consists of two reflecting mirrors and a relay lenses. Two reflecting mirrors make up of the first imaging system and are therefore free of chromatic aberrations  while low dispersion lenses were used in the reimaging system  so the optical system do not need achromatic design for a high image quality. Then  to correct high-order aberrations resulting from large relative aperture  more parameters need to be used with aspheric or diffractive surfaces due to modern optic technology development. Here  aspheric is selected for easily manufacture. Finally  the design is completed with the help of ZEMAX software. The effective focal length of the objective is 120mm and the field of view (FOV) is 4. The simulated final design shows adequate image quality and the modulation transfer function (MTF) is close to diffraction limit. The effect of the surrounding environmental temperature is analyzed using the concept of thermal defocusing  and the thermal compensation is discussed. 2011 Copyright Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).

In this paper  in order to be more sensitive to the volumetric changes of capillaries in the skin  the photon propagation process in human brain tissue and skin tissue with various source and detector separation distances were simulated based on the Monte Carlo method. The human brain model and the skin model that were used in our experiments have five layers and seven layers  the separation distance of source and detector should be approximately eight millimeters. Future work was discussed at the end of the paper. 2009 IEEE.  respectively. The backscattered intensity from every layer of the human tissue model was obtained by marking the deepest layer that every photon can reach. The simulation results of brain model indicated that the source-detector separation distance should be selected at three centimeters for studies on the actions of the brain nerve cells
