In the near infrared spectroscopy
detector of Charge-coupled Device requires very high stability for light source. We design the cold light source in the measurement of near infrared spectroscopy. Cold light source consists of high-power op amp OPA549 high current constant current source and proportion integral differential (PID) control algorithm. As is shown in the experimental results
the method is better
the overshoot is very small
the stability is excellent in the process of soft-start. While light intensity was able to meet the requirements of near-infrared instruments to measure. 2011 IEEE.

It is introduced a novel imaging technique for medical diagnostic X-ray coherent scatter in this paper. A set of experimental equipment for X-ray coherent scatter imaging was set up with X-ray digital flat detector and medical diagnostic X-ray source. According to this equipment
the scatter images obtained are made of some circles with the same center. It is vital to calculate the energy template to classify the different samples. It is difficult to separate them using the traditional threshold method due to noise and overlapped shadow. In this paper
the image was transformed a binary image by using K-Means algorithm and Mathematical Morphology Methods. The effective region was extracted from the binary image inside the orthogonal energy projection space
then to calculate the centroid of rings. Consequently the curve of the energy distribution was built. The experiment results show that our method is reasonable and feasible. The technique will have wide foreground of application .Besides the imaging of human bone content
it can be used for various imaging of tissue and organs in biology. 2010 IEEE.

The radiometric calibration of the thermal imager was investigated to build the relationship between the input radiance and the digital output to realize the temperature measurement. The radiometric calibration was implemented in the State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics. A standard black body source was served as radiation source. The response of the thermal imager to the input radiance was tested for different gains. The experimental results show that the average grey level of the output imaging is linear dependence of the input radiance. Because the radiance in the receiving wave range of the thermal imager is linear with the black body's temperature based on Planck's law of radiation
the average grey level of the output image is also linear with the black body's temperature after fitting a curve to the experiment data points. Then the relationship of the response and the gain was studied when the black body's temperature kept constant. The preliminary analysis of calibration data shows that the response of the thermal imager is linear and the average grey value of the image is directly proportion to the gain. According to the experimental results
the reference gains and the dynamic range of temperature measurement were obtained. Finally
the uncertainty influencing the calibration results was analyzed
the analysis shows the maximal uncertainty is 5.2%

With the trend of minimization of Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) which is particularly pronounced in many applications
a model of a micro FTS with no moving parts is proposed and analyzed. During analyzng
the gradients which mainly introduce phase error are accounted. Based on these assumptions and the improved Mertz phase correcting method
the spectrum of signal is simulated with real extended light source. The resolution can be up to 3.43nm@800nm
with high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) limiting resolving ability 6.8dB. In addition
the fabrication method of components are illuminated and demonstrated
which can not only make it bear some advantages over conventional micro dispersive spectrometers
but also afford some new concepts on the design of spectrometers with improved performance. 2009 SPIE.

The effects of both Er3+ ion concentration and excited density upon frequency upconversion fluorescence emissions in Er3+/Yb 3+-codoped LaF3 powder are investigated. The results reveal that a higher Er3+ concentration can induce not only upconversion emission enhancements but also the changes among the relative intensities of the 407
519
539 and 651 nm radiation transitions as the samples are excited within the ranges of 20 to 700 mW with 978 nm laser diode (LD) as an excitation source. The changes are described by a schematic level model with the cross-relaxation processes between Er3+ ions and a series of dynamic equations that take into account the population of temperature dependent in Er3+. 2006 Elsevier B.V. We have investigated the effect of transparent thin film while mapping its surface profile by using vertical scanning white light interferometer. Our theory analysis showed that multiple reflections taking place within the transparent thin film result in an extra phase change. The simulation and experiment results revealed that this extra phase change is also related to the thickness of thin film
the numerical number of microscope interferometer objective and the spectral distribution of light source. As a result of extra phase change
the interferogram has some deviation in its shape or two interference fringes may appears while the thickness of thin film is large.

In this paper
numerical analysis was investigated for the double-clad fiber lasers and experimental study on the Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber lasers was performed. The results shown that the output power increased monotonically with absorbed power
and in lossy cavity the output power is less than in the lossless cavity. The output power decreases for the lossy fiber with the reflectivity of output coupler. There was an optimum fiber length to reach a maximum output and the optimum length was mainly dependent on the loss coefficient. In experiment we obtained a output power of 21.6W
slope efficiency of 54% by using Yb3+-doped double-clad fiber and 40W LD pump source.
