Support structure of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) engine is the important support for UAV engine  playing a support role and bearing extremely complex load  so its lightweight  strength and dynamic characteristics have a great influence on high performance of UAV. This paper focuses on UAV having the requirement of high performance and stability to the support structure of engine  and uses the software of MSC.Patran and MSC.Nastran and topology optimization criterion to lightweight design and analysis the support structure of UAV engine under the premise condition of existing constraints. Then the static strength and modal are analyzed for the result of lightweight design  and the strength of the model and dynamic characteristics are verified. The airborne opto-electronic stabilization platform should have the characteristics of high requirements for stability  tracking accuracy and lightweight. In order to verify the rationality of the main load-bearing structure  the inner-gimbal  finite element analysis was performed. Because of the poor working conditions of the airborne opto-electronic stabilization platform and the wide range of working temperature variation  -45 C 60 C  according to the actual working environment  air-resistance and temperature were added to the loads of the inner-gimbal in analysis. What's more  based on the analysis results  lightweight design was performed to the initial model and 64.37% of mass was decreased. The remarkable effect was obtained. This research is going to be instructive to design and production of the airborne opto-electronic stabilization platform in the future. 2011 IEEE.

High precision structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) results are required in the development of a remote image sensor. HperMesh and MSC. Nastran are employed in the image sensor structural FEA. This paper discusses some technical issues about the Finite Element (FE) modeling of the image sensor. In order to obtain authentic analysis results  the part-to-whole handling schema  i.e. handling method and research work is implemented in a small part of the model firstly and a revised method is used in the whole structural in succession  has been proposed. Some emphasis is mainly put on the FE handling of bolted joint  bearing and inter-element connection. The interface handling methods  such as CBEAM plus partial MPC bolted joint model  hybrid element bearing model and RBE3 beam-to-solid connection  have been produced and successfully implemented in the image sensor structural FEA. 2010 IEEE.

This article presents the details of a new 3-axis simulator for spacecraft attitude control research and simulation. The air bearing allows the test bed to rotate about three axes with tiny friction. The attitude determination system consists of three fibre optical gyros  an inclinometer and a magnetometer. The actuator of the system consists of three reaction flywheels and four control moment gyros (CMG). Mathematical models of the sensors and actuators are given to help algorithm design. An extended Kalman filter was designed to provide attitude information for controller. Mathematical simulation results prove the attitude determination system can achieve high precision. A coulomb friction model of reaction wheels is given with experimental results. A friction compensation algorithm was developed to raise the pointing accuracy of the control system. The article also describes the details of the hardware structure. A PD stabilizing controller is implemented to test the validation of the whole control system at last. 2010 IEEE.

As we know  the existence of image motion has a bad effect on the image quality of satellite-borne TDI CCD camera. Although many theories on image motion are proposed to cope with this problem  few simulations are done to justify the proposed theories on ground. And thus  in this paper  a ground-based physical simulation system for TDI CCD imaging is developed and specified  which consists of a physical simulation subsystem for precise satellite attitude control based on a 3-axis air bearing table  and an imaging and simulation subsystem utilizing area-array CCD to simulate TDI CCD. The designed system could realize not only a precise simulation of satellite attitude control  whose point accuracy is above 0.1 and steady accuracy above 0.01/s  but also an imaging simulation of 16-stage TDI CCD with 0.1s its integration time. This paper also gives a mathematical model of image motion of this system analogous with satellite-borne TDI CCD  and detailed descriptions on the principle utilizing area-array CCD to simulate TDI CCD. It is shown that experiment results are in accordance with mathematical simulation  and that the image quality deteriorate seriously when the correspondence between the image velocity and signal charges transfer velocity is broken out  which suggest not only the validity of the system design but also the validity of the proposed image motion theory of TDI CCD. 2010 SPIE.
