To achieve a correct image receiving for Roll-Swing imaging seeker  the mechanism and imaging process is analyzed. The causes of image rotation are discussed. The influence of the frame encoders' precision on imaging de-rotation quality is analyzed. The Roll-Swing imaging seeker is designed for high-speed aerocraft  thus the received images are greatly degraded due to atmospheric turbulence. A new method of image restoration is proposed for turbulence-degraded images in this paper. The method is to get point spread function (PSF) based on the estimation of optical transfer function (OTF) according to the optical system design simulation. Finally  to obtain the restored image  constrained least squares filtering is used with the known PSF. The experiment results indicate that the new restoration method has a favorable effect to satisfy requirement of the automatic target recognition. 2011 IEEE.

A real-time image defogging processing method based on FPGA is proposed to increase low-contrast of the aerial images in foggy vision conditions. According to the high similarity of the contiguous frame histogram in video image  the histogram equalization algorithm is improved to enhance the image contrast. The median filter algorithm is used to eliminate the noise of the image. The experimental results demonstrate that the method can efficiently enhance the contrast  strengthen the detail and clarify definition for the fog-degraded aerial images. The visibility limit of the images has been increased to a time above. Simultaneously the method satisfies the real-time processing requirement of aerial video images  which has direct applications to the problem of poor visibility conditions. 2010 IEEE.

A fast algorithm is proposed to restore the color images  degraded in a deterministic way by motion- blurred  by multichannel combination processing. Based on the color space conversion model  the point spread functions of the image motion on each plane of YUV422 image can be achieved. The U  V plane of YUV422 images are combined to form a new UV plane which has the same size as Y plane. Then  the Y  UV plane are packed into a two dimensional complex array which can be transformed directly by FFT and result a composite frequency spectrum. Wiener filter is applied to filter Y  UV spectrums separated from the composite spectra. On Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) platform  the proposed algorithm can restore a 1024x1024 24-bit motion-blurred color image in 7.95ms  and the PSNR of the restored image is 27.12 which reveals a good restoration performance. 2009 IEEE.
