The applications based on traditional digital cameras have been limited by distance  cost and networking. Gigabit Ethernet is a data transmission standard based on the IEEE 802.3 protocol  brings several benefits to image transmission. In this paper  we compare the main features of Gigabit Ethernet and traditional digital camera interfaces. And  we design a high speed image acquisition system which overcomes these application limitations by allowing cameras to send imaging data over Gigabit Ethernet. In this system  we design a highly efficient  bidirectional conversion device based on FPGA  converts imaging data from a camera to IP packets based on UDP protocol  and sends it to PCs over inexpensive Cat-5 copper LAN cable. At the PC  the Cat-5 cable plugs into a standard Gigabit Ethernet NIC(network interface card)  eliminating the need for a frame grabber. An communications application software is used to acquire the network data  construct and display the image. A simple and efficient acknowledge and resend mechanism was used to guarantee packet delivery. The system architecture and the communication protocol are discussed in details  the experiment and results are presented in this paper. 2010 IEEE.

For multi-channel high-speed image data of certain space remote sensing camera  this paper proposed a new image data acquisition and storage system. First of all  the system uses Field-Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) controlling synchronous dynamic random access memory(SDRAM) array to realize the cache of image data  then according to the received commands  sends certain channel's image data to the acquisition card to write the image data into SCSI hard disk and implements the final storage. A Time Delay Integral Charge Couple Device(TDICCD) image data acquisition and storage system with five channels is developed  pixel clock rate is up to 96MHz  total effective data rate is up to 2.88Gb/s  single channel storage depth is up to 7810 lines. The experimental results indicate that this system work stably  high effectively which can meet the requirement of acquisition and storage of multi-channel high-speed TDICCD image data. 2010 IEEE.

To improve the automatic detection efficiency of photoelectric encoder  an auto-detection system of photoelectric encoder is designed using DSP (TMS320F2812) as the core device. A 21-bit high accuracy photoelectric encoder is used as the angle standard. It is connected to the detected photoelectric encoder coaxially. They will rotate synchronously under the driving of electric motor. Data acquisition and processing system collects the angular data of the two photoelectric encoders at the same angular position and calculates the angular error of detected photoelectric encoder. Then the data is put into computer. The computer will display the data error. The result of experiment shows that the system could detect encoder whose bit-number below 19  the detecting person could be reduced to one and the detecting speed could be increased to 8-10 times. 2010 IEEE.
