Atmospheric path radiance is the key factor in the accuracy of objective radiation measurement. In the traditional radiation character measurements  it is compared with the results of MODTRAN and measurement in experiment. It is revealed that the accuracy of software is 7.8%  under the help of the atmospheric observation equipment  and the formula is 4.9%  MODTRAN and other software likewise  which could demonstrate the validity of the pproximate calculation formula in close range and horizontal direction. In this article  the indeterminacy rate could be around 10~20%  in the process of deducing and experiment  it is highly restricts the measurement accuracy of objective radiation. For this reason  the validity of the approximate calculation formula in close range and horizontal direction is fully proved  it is quite significant to develop the study of measure and calculation in path radiance. The approximate calculation formula for path radiance in close range and horizontal direction is expressed in this article  which supply a new method in approximate calculation of path radiance for objective radiation measurement. A new particle filter-the Local Optimum Particle Filter (LOPF) algorithm is presented for tracking object accurately and steadily in visual sequences in real time which is a challenge task in computer vision field. In order to using the particles efficiently  we first use Sobel algorithm to extract the profile of the object. Then  we employ a new Local Optimum algorithm to auto-initialize some certain number of particles from these edge points as centre of the particles. The main advantage we do this in stead of selecting particles randomly in conventional particle filter is that we can pay more attentions on these more important optimum candidates and reduce the unnecessary calculation on those negligible ones  in addition we can overcome the conventional degeneracy phenomenon in a way and decrease the computational costs. Otherwise  the threshold is a key factor that affecting the results very much. So here we adapt an adaptive threshold choosing method to get the optimal Sobel result. The dissimilarities between the target model and the target candidates are expressed by a metric derived from the Bhattacharyya coefficient. Here  we use both the counter cue to select the particles and the color cur to describe the targets as the mixture target model. The effectiveness of our scheme is demonstrated by real visual tracking experiments. Results from simulations and experiments with real video data show the improved performance of the proposed algorithm when compared with that of the standard particle filter. The superior performance is evident when the target encountering the occlusion in real video where the standard particle filter usually fails.

The main principles of laser direct writing (LDW) system for lines on the spherical surface (SS) are discussed. It is pointed out that line profile is determined by the exposure dose distribution  which lies on the light intensity distribution of focus plane and the scanning speed. To improve the quality of line profile on the SS  several key techniques as follows are introduced. Firstly  the unique system configuration  four axes mutually intersecting at the center of the SS  is adopted  which ensures the shape of the focus be maintained circular during the writing period. Secondly  an automatic focus system (AFS) with the function of automatic focus in a certain range is introduced. Thirdly  to guarantee the linear velocity to accord with the exposure character of the photoresist all the time  an efficient arithmetic that controls motors run at appropriate angular velocity in different latitude is developed. Finally  to achieve a stable and well-behaved system so as to compensate the velocity instability resulting from unavoidable errors of mechanical and electronics factor  a powerful programmable multi-axis controller (PMAC) is utilized as the kernel element of the servocontrol system  and the curves of step response and parabolic response achieved by feedforward and PID loop tuning indicate that the location precision and velocity stability have reached a high level. The experimental results of LDW of lines on the SS work piece with a diameter 30 mm and a radius equal to 100 mm are given. The section analysis of the lines on the photoresist by the atomic force microscope (AFM) after exposure and development is performed. The results show that line width is about 3.0 m  and the steep sides of the lines are parallel to each other.
