Digital CR of head and neck overcomes the disadvantage of regular X-ray radiography  which can not reveal bone and soft tissue position deficiency in one exposing  and reduces the Xray radiation dose. Meanwhile  various factors cause the decline of image quality  and images must be enhanced in order to meet demands of doctor's clinical diagnosis. The general enhancement algorithms don't consider body's structure differences and density characteristics. A new adaptive CR enhancement algorithm was proposed in this article  and head and neck CR images were processed with this method and compared with linear unsharp masking method. The experiment proves that the details of CR image enhanced were abundant and enhanced CR image had good visual effect  SNR was high  as well as detail variance /background variance (DV/BV) indicating that this algorithm is suitable for head and neck CR medical images. The valve-less piezoelectric pump is more suitable for minimization and microminiaturization than the valve piezoelectric pump  especially for the Microelectromechanical System (MEMS) because of its simple structure. However  in order to control the flow direction of the fluid through the pump  some assembles have to be attached outside the chamber. And it is no doubt that these assembles will take some space and hinder its further microminiaturization. In this paper  a novel valve-less piezoelectric pump with unsymmetrical corrugation chamber bottom (UCCB) is presented. It ingeniously takes advantage of the space of the chamber by developing its bottom into a unsymmetrical corrugation shape along the axis of the inlet and outlet. As a result  a series of diffuse pipes and nozzle pipes (or wedge-shaped pipes)  which substitute the regular diffuse/nozzle elements fitted outside the chamber  are alternatively formed between the unsymmetrical corrugation chamber bottom (UCCB) and the piezoelectric vibrator. The piezoelectric vibrator is opposite to the UCCB. And these diffuse pipes and nozzle pipes are able to force the fluid in the chamber to flow along a single direction when the pump works. And then the mathematic model is established to present the relationship between the mean energy loss and the flow rate of the pump. Basing on the mathematic model  the theory on the pump working is analysed. Finally  a real UCCB valve-less piezoelectric pump is manufactured  and the test with it is carried out to verify the theory above-mentioned. 2006 IEEE.

Hough transform is recognized as a powerful tool in shape analysis which gives good results even in the presence of noise and the disconnection of edge. However  3. applying the standard Hough transform equation to every point of the input image edge  4. according to the local threshold  6. merging the segments whose extreme points are near. Experiment results show the approach not only can recognize regular geometric object but also can extract the segment feature of real targets in complex environment. So the proposed method can be used in the target detection of complicated scenes  traditional Hough transform can only detect the lines  2. quantizing the parameter space  and extracting a group of maximums according to the global threshold  eliminating spurious peaks which are caused by the spreading effects  and will improve the precision of tracking.  cannot give the endpoints and length of the line segments and it is vulnerable to the quantization errors. Based on the analysis of its limitations  Hough transform has been improved in order to detect line segment feature of targets. The algorithm aims to avoid the loss of spatial information  as well as to eliminate the spurious peaks and fix on the line segments endpoints accurately  5. fixing on the endpoints of the segments according to the dynamic clustering rule  which can expediently be used for the description and classification of regular objects. The method consists of 6 steps: 1. setting up the image  parameter and line-segment spaces
