A grazing incidence x-ray scattering (XRS) method  Order perturbation theory (FOPT)  is stated briefly and an experimental facility based on an improved X-ray diffraction has been introduced  which can work with high performance. The x-ray scattering distributions of two super smooth silicon samples measured at the incidence angle 0.2 degree  as the x-ray wavelength is 0.154 nm  have been given and analyzed by the FOPT to give information about the surface profiles. As a comparison  the root mean square (RMS) surface roughness  grey-scale maps and one-dimensional power spectral density (1D PSD) have been derived from the atomic-force microscope (AFM) data. The results evaluated by FOPT are in good agreement with that of AFM  which indicates that x-ray scattering method is a practical characterization for the investigation of super smooth surfaces. 2011 IEEE.

It is always the hot subject to realize the output of high-power laser in the range of 3-5m wavelength. This rang of wave band has greatly important applications in military because it located in the atmosphere window. Generally there are two ways to obtain this range of laser wavelength. One way is through optical parameter oscillation (OPO) from shorter laser wavelength and the other is through second harmonic generation (SHG) from longer laser wavelength. Firstly  the comparison between tow nonlinear crystals ZnGeP2 and AgGaSe2 is conducted for their nonlinear coefficient and damaging threshold in theory. The theoretical results show that the crystal AgGaSe 2 is more suitable for the SHG of pulsed TEA CO2 laser. When using pulsed TEA CO2 laser with wavelength of 9.3m to pumping AgGaSe2 SHG crystal  the wavelength of 4.65m is obtained. In the condition of repetition rate 100Hz  the upmost output power of single pulse is up to level of 1W  which corresponding efficiency of SHG is about 6%. The experimental results show that the polarization of laser beam has greatly influence on the SHG output of the crystal. Under the radiation of 3MW/cm 2 from fundamental wave and the right position for maximal SHG output in the crystal  when polarization of laser beam rotates 4.5  the SHG output of energy decrease about 30%. The research of this paper will make a foundation for further development of mid-infrared laser. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

In Computer Controlled Optical Surfacing (CCOS)  polishing tool-path is the base of solving other control parameters such as dwell time. In order to improve the fabrication results of polishing off-axis aspheric  a novel method to optimize the tool-path is discussed in this paper. The optimizing method named weighted-iterative algorithm is according to the balance principle of the particle system. The power factor of each dwell point represents the requirement of dwell density. Considering the factors which influence the polishing result  the power factors cosist of three elements include constant  error distribution and dwell distance of workpiece edge. The tool-path is solved by numerical iterative method. In the end  an error data is simulated with actual parameters using the matrix-based algorithm with two different tool-paths. The one is X-Y uniform spacing model and the other one is to optimize it based on the first. The comparison shows that the results of the optimized one are much better than traditional one  especially the rms convergence rate. Theory of the algorithm is simple and exercisable  and it satisfies practical requirement as well. 2009 SPIE.

A procedure for designing and optimizing heliostat field layout of solar tower thermal power plant is developed. The ray tracing is used for the calculation of the optical efficiency of field. The mathematical theory of the calculation is derived. The parametric search algorithm  which allows variation of the field parameters within a specified range  is used for the optimization of field. The field layout is made automatically according to the no-blocking loss condition and the heliostats are located at the positions where the annual incident cosine value is higher. In this way  the blocking and cosine losses are lowered. Because the optimization of the distance between fore-and-aft two rows of heliostat is avoided  the computer time is reduced effectively. Using this procedure the heliostat field of a 1MWe solar tower power plant was designed. Four modes of layout including North-South cornfield  North-South stagger  Radial cornfield and Radial stagger were experimented and optimized respectively. The comparison of the field efficiency for the four optimized results was made. It is concluded that the North-South cornfield layout is the optimal decision for the 1MWe solar tower power plant.

In the procedure of computed radiography imaging  we should firstly get across the characters of kinds of noises and the relationship between the image signals and noises. Based on the specialties of computed radiography (CR) images and medical image processing  we have study the filtering methods for computed radiography images noises. On the base of analyzing computed radiography imaging system in detail  the author think that the major two noises are Gaussian white noise and Poisson noise. Then  the different relationship of between two kinds of noises and signal were studied completely. By considering both the characteristics of computed radiography images and the statistical features of wavelet transformed images  a multiscale image filtering algorithm  which based on two-state hidden markov model (HMM) and mixture Gaussian statistical model  has been used to decrease the Gaussian white noise in computed images. By using EM (Expectation Maximization) algorithm to estimate noise coefficients in each scale and obtain power spectrum matrix  then this carried through the syncretized two Filter that are IIR(infinite impulse response) Wiener Filter and HMM  according to scale size  and achieve the experiments as well as the comparison with other denoising methods were presented at last.

Restraining the noise  meanwhile  improving the dynamic characteristics of the driving power of piezoelectric pump effectively are the final purposes of doing research on the reciprocating and flexural vibration of the piezoelectric vibrator. However  among many papers regarding piezoelectric pump  there are very few papers about the research on the noise of piezoelectric pump. This is far less than the research on the application of the piezoelectric pump in other fields. In this paper  the research on the flexural vibration deformation and vibration radiation noise of the piezoelectric vibrator are carried out. Firstly  the vibration equations of the piezoelectric vibrator are built and flexural vibration deformation function is deduced. Then  the simplified vibration model of the piezoelectric vibrator is introduced by using vibration theories of micro-area piston. Furthermore  theoretical calculation equations of sound pressure in close noise field and noise contribution equation of fluid in pump are deduced. Finally  a comparison is made between the theoretical calculation value and experimental value  and the contribution quantities of the piezoelectric vibrator and fluid in pump are obtained respectively under different frequencies. The consequence approves that the theory introduced by this research is true. 2006 IEEE.
